On December 21st, 2017, former Temple Army ROTC cadets Kristi Adkins and Meghan Guerrera were commissioned as Second Lieutenants into the United States Army.

New Temple University graduates, Meghan Guerrera and Kristi Adkins were officially commissioned as Second Lieutenants into the United States Army. The two officers were joined by their family, friends, and mentors for the ceremony. Special guests included BG David Wood, the Director of the Joint Staff for the Pennsylvania National Guard, LTC (Retired) Gregory Nardi, and Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies Daniel Berman, among others.

Meet the New Lieutenants
LT Kristi Adkins commissioned as an Adjutant General Officer and will serve her country in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Adkins received her Bachelors in Human Resource Management and will be working for Amazon's Human Resource Department starting this Spring. LT Adkins received her first salute by mentor and ROTC staff memember 1SGT Malika Sharif.
"This is the start of great adventure," Lieutenant Kristi Adkins stated following her commissioning.

LT Meghan Guerrera commissioned as an Active Duty Aviation Officer and will attend flight school this Spring. LT Guerrera graduated with her Bachelors in Engineering. She received her first salute from her grandfather, an Airman in the early 1960s, and earned distinction as a Distinguished Military Graduate.
